hi i found out 3yr ago that i have herpes and have only had that one outbreak. now i want to go to cosmetology school and there website says you need to "Be free from disease" dos this mean that i can not go to cosmetology school. and would i have to tell theme i know i would have to take a phisicial. but would they check for that.

Hi,
I don't think any school can deny you admission because you have an STD because that's against the law. When they say Disease they might mean something that can be spread by blood...something like HIV. As far as I know you can only spread herpes by sexual contact or if you have oral herpes if you have an outbrake and you kiss or share a drink with someone. As long as you aren't sleeping with any of your future clients or people from cosmotology school I think it should be fine haha. Good luck at school :)
