my girlfriend and i both have genital herpes, but dont know what type. has anyone out there experienced a situation in which sexual partners have different types, expecially when one of them aquires the type they didnt have from the other? what is the worst possible scenario?

Answer:
I have genital herpes and so does my boyfriend and suprisinly hasnt had an outbreak. I've never seen anything blistery on his genitals.

From what i've learnt, HSV - 1 is the coldsores on the mouth area and HSV - 2 is genital herpes.
