can type 1 transfer to 2?
Question: I was just diagnosed with type 2 herpes. I assumed I got it from my husband but when he got a blood test, it was negative for type 2. He does have type 1 though. Could he have given it to me and it changed types? Or does this mean that I got it from someone else? I'm very confused. Thank you. Answer: I'm absolutely no expert but I'm pretty sure that it can't transfer. You will have whichever type you come into contact with in the place you contracted it. Even though type 1 is most commonly associated with coldsores and type 2 with genital herpes, they can occur in their 'opposite' homes - but they don't like it there and are less likely to reoccur. Answer: Hey , i have read that you can transmit the oral herpes to the genitalia touching the fluids of the sore and then the genitals , i dont know if this is true ,my not an expert , i have oral herpes but never genital herpes , so must be different  Answer: and herpes 2 is herpes 2 always. They do not morph up into another virus at all. They are what they are and don't change. Now you can get either one in either location, but as far as I'm concerned, herpes is herpes regardless of type or location. Gayla Answer: Could someone please tell me the difference between herpes 1 and 2? I have herpes but how do I find out which one I have? Copyright © 2007 - 2008 www.thanktoday.com
