Hi there here is my story
Question: I was first diagnosed with herpes Type 2 a little over 4 and a half years ago. I am not sure where I got it from but suspect that I may have had it for a while before being diagnosed. I meet my husband just after being diagnosed and told him about the virus before we had any kind of sexual contact. Telling this great guy that I had just started seeing that I had this disease was one of the hardest things I have ever had to do but he was (and is) very supportive and caring to me. I feel very lucky to have found such a loving caring partner and just want to tell all those out there worried that no one will love them with this disease that there is hope and there are decent caring people out there that will love you. We have now been married for nearly 3 years and have a 2 year old girl (vaginal birth). We were lucky to have conceived her on our honeymoon when I was clear of OB's. So far my DH has shown no symptoms though I think that even if he did he may not tell me just to spare me the pain of knowing I gave it to him. I am one of the unfortunates that get regular and reasonably severe outbreaks. In fact I have had one after the other for the last 2-3 months constantly. This is very frustrating as we would love to have another baby. I was off taking meds (acicvir) but have started again in frustration. I have lots more to say and share but this post is getting a bit long so I will leave it here for now. If there is anyone out there from New Zealand I would love to here from you. Kirsty Answer: Hi!! Welcome to our forum! I'm not from New Zealand but would love to be a friend and a good suport to you!! I'm so glad that you met such a great guy and had a baby!! I myself was a bit worried about possibly not being able to have a baby b/c I have have herpes.I'm not so worried now b/c I have learned so much more about it. Have you tried taking any natural suplements to help with the OB's or to help keet them away? I'm not exactly sure the ones to take but have noticed some people here mention a few. Good luck!! Answer: Thanks for your lovley welcome. I am really looking forward to sharing information and support in this forum more. I have taken any natural supliments yet but have been thinking about doing some resuech into what is good to take and maybe getting something that helps boost the imune system. Thanks again Kirsty Answer: [quote="kiwigal"]I was first diagnosed with herpes Type 2 a little over 4 and a half years ago. But I have a lot of re-occurence and it is very frustrating. I would love to have a child one day but I don't know how to do it if the OB happens all the time. I also worry about delievering my baby in a natural way. How did you do it? By taking medication during pregnancy? I'd love to hear from you about this part of the story. Besides, it affects a lot to our sex life as I don't wish to pass it on to my husband. But I afraid it would damage our marriage one day when he can't take it anymore. Hope to hear from you, by the way, I live in Australia and it's nice to find someone who has similar situation as me who lives so close to me . Answer: I think Kirsty has disappeared actually - her posts are from December last year. Welcome abord, anyway, Orchid! Copyright © 2007 - 2008 www.thanktoday.com
