how does the mind affect an outbreak?
Question: I am curious to hear if anyone else has experienced what I have. I am 38 years old. I have been infected with oral herpes for 25 years or more. There are a couple things that will trigger an outbreak for me. One is stress, another is chapped lips, and another is my thought patterns. I can think myself into having an outbreak. If I see an ad on television for a herpes treatment product and I think to myself, "I haven't had a cold sore for a long time," the next thing I know I'm getting one. This is NOT coincidence, it has happened to me many times. Has anyone else experience this with either oral or genital herpes? Answer: I totally know what you're talking about. I will notice that it's been awhile since I'd had an outbreak and then I think I jinx myself because I'll get an outbeak soon after. I've heard that it can happen that way. I had a friend who had them too and said that she would stress trying not to stress so she wouldn't have an outbreak and the trying not to stress was causing too much stress. Did that make sense? LOL :) I try not to think about them that often or they might think I want a visit. Have a wonderful day Copyright © 2007 - 2008 www.thanktoday.com
