I still remember he was jumping up with joy when he told us he only got Herpes and Gonorrhea, but no HIV! He had been living in fear that he had HIV for well over 6 months. He had all the symptoms you can find in the books. But, when he got a full checkup, he had no HIV. Only 2 other STDs that may have caused those symptoms he had earlier.

He is a changed man now. He wouldn't even look a beautiful girl that passes his way. He seems afraid of sex now.

its so true. The girl I was with tested negative for HIV and I was so fucking relieved. I need to do it myself as well even though I know I dont have it. For me, thats been whats kept me sane. Herpes I can deal with...and although with a strict drug cocktail regiment HIV can be manageable, it will eventually end your life. People with HIV keep on keepin' on...why shouldnt anyone with herpes? Its nothing compared to HIV.

In this day and age, it's like we play Russian roulette or gamble only for the crime of having sex. It's sad, but makes us have to live responsibly, esp. if we don't know that other too well.

My friend admitted that it was like God gave him another chance in life. but, having another STD is already very risky. From now on, he needs to wrap it on or else the transmission of HIV gets easier and riskier the more.
