I'm really mad at myself
Question: My boyfriend and I have been dating for 20 months now and have been sexually active for about 17. I only got my first out break about 2 weeks ago in my genital area and my boyfriend has never had one, although i did get the virus from him. When i went to the doctor 2 weeks ago she put me on Valtrex and some other medication so i could heal quicker. I finished the one medication but i'm still on the Valtrex. I told myself i'd be good and wait before i did ANYTHING sexual with my boyfriend until i went back to the doctor on the 27th. But me being stupid and wanting my boyfriend to be happy, i gave him oral sex tonight... not like it would help much but as soon as i was done i ran into the bathroom brushed my teeth and then washed my hands and face with anti bacterial soap. Now i'm really nervous that i'm going to get an outbreak on my lips or in my mouth, i know i probably deserve it for being stupid but i'm really scared now.. He still doesn't have any outbreaks but i know it's still possible to pass the virus on, even though i already have it.. What do you think the odds are of me getting an OB on/in my mouth? Answer: you know...if he didn't have any signs of outbreak, and if you DID go in and wash up the way you said you did, I honestly do not think you should worry about it. Think of all the people in the world who give/get blow jobs and how many people DO NOT get coldsores or hsv2 on their mouth. Sure it is possible, we ALL know that, but methinks that you are especially worried now that you know your status. Put condoms on him from here on out if you blow him. If he don't like it, then he don't need a blow job, does he? Get the flavored condoms or flavored lube/oils to put OVER the condom, make things more interesting. If nothing else, it will give YOU peace of mind. Copyright © 2007 - 2008 www.thanktoday.com
