She has an outbreak

Question:
I just found out that my fiance has HPV. She has a very small outbreak. I don't know if I have it yet, but she is my best friend and I want be with her forever regardless. The doctor gave her a cream that is supposed to take 4-6 weeks to get rid of the bump. My question is, should we wait to have unprotected sex until the bump is gone? I am comfortable with the fact that I will someday have HPV also (if I don't already) but I don't want to increase the chances of either her or I having more outbreaks in the near future by having unprotected sex. Does sex during outbreaks increase any other risks besides transmission?

Answer:
A condom provides near 0% effectivness when you have sex with a female that is currently shedding the virus (herpes).... Because the virus is spread SKIN TO SKIN, once your genitals touch her's there's a good chance that you'll be infected...
