HSV-1 questions

Question:
I have started dating a woman who confided to me that she has genital HVS-1 for the last ten years with no noticeable outbreaks since the first one. She was tested positive for shedding during the birth of a child a few years back, though. We have not yet had sex of any kind. I have had oral HSV-1 (cold sores) since I was a kid with roughly 3 outbreaks a year.

What are my chances of getting genital HSV-1 with unprotected sex?

Am I at risk during oral sex, since I already have oral HSV-1?

I do not plan on this interfering with our relationship, but I want to know what the risks are. Any answers would be appreciated.

Thanks

Answer:
HSV 1 are are Cold Sores (which btw arn't even considered STDs)... There's no such thing as HSV 1 for genitals although you can get cold sores HSV 1 in the genital area... Do you mean she has HSV 2 which are herpes in the genitals??? because your question doesn't make sense.... Anyways, if she has HSV 2 and you have 1 and you have sex with her while shes shedding, theres a good chance that she's going to give you herpes (HSV2)... So a person can be infected with both HSV 1 and 2 if they've been exposed.... Even if you use a condom, the male's statistics are near 0% prevention during intercourse.... HSV 1 - 2 is transmitted through SKIN TO SKIN contact.... A condom wouldn't save you from herpes bro.... Even when the female isn't shedding and she has herpes, you can catch it from her during contact....
