Hi, this is my first time posting here. I hve been with my partner now for 10 years, we have been married for 8 of the years. I have always been faithful to my husband and he has me. but before we met, I dated !!!! I have not been tested yet for herpes, but I think I do have herpes. I always get a place on my left hip, I have been to the doctor about it and the doctors thought it was shingles, and he mention that it could be herpes. He told me that if I get it back to come back and he would run the test for herpes. The fever blester did come back, but I did not go back to the doctor. I am scare that he will tell me I have herpes !!! I do not want to accept that I have herpes, what will I tell my husband ???? That I have put him at risk, oh God this would be bad, I am scared he will leave me. I have been searching the web and all of the sites make out like if you have herpes then you automactally have aids too, is this ture. Does this mean I have AIDS too ????? Could someone here tell me I am so scared ??????

Could me and my husband have contracted herpes between ourselves. I have always had fever blesters on my mouth from time to time. He has never had anything at all on him, he shows no signs at all.

fever blister= herpes.
hes your husband, hes supposed to love you till death> im sure he would be with you through worse things.

and i dont know what sites you have been reading, but NONE of the sites i ever researched ever even spoke about aids, and NO if you have herpes you do not automatically have aids.

you prob have had herpes before him, since you always had the fever blisters.
you might have just transfered it to your self.

get your test done, even though its going to say post. since you know you get the blisters. have your husband tested- he might have it to.

and move on, its not going to kill you to have herpes.

Oh thank you for helping me on the aids thing, I feel better. The only thing is I have been getting blisters my hip from time to time for a few years now. But my husband has not got anything showing that he might have them too. The only thing that I can think of is that he has a high ammune system. He has never had any of his child hood shots and has never caught of them. Like chicken pox, or small pox any of them. I why has he not had any signs of herpes ??????

Because NOT all people even get symptoms and if they even do they sometimes do not show up for years and years so dont be looking for symptoms...have him get a herpes specific blood test...both of you should soon. good luck
