Just got them. How to tell her??

Question:
I have been dating my dream girl for about 2 months now. She is beautiful. We both have daughters and everything has been textbook in our relationship so far. The sex has been 1-2 times a day for a month now. I noticed some pain a couple times but never thought twice I might have something. After a long night of sex, about 5 days ago, I noticed a little more pain then went to the bathroom and noticed the bumps too. They are doing the blood tests now but my Dr. says it looks like herpes. I am just freaked out. Is it possible I could have gotten it from her?? Can you get them that fast with outbreaks? I was with the same GF prior to her for 2 years and she is herpes free. Anyway, my new GF and I both work at a big business and we know everyone. Now I am at risk of everyone knowing I have herpes. I just don't know what to do. We are 36 years old and am afraid of losing the best ever lady that has come into my life. Any advice?

Answer:
Hey, I'm also 36 years old by the way. :-)

Anyway..
Why do you think that you may lose her....?
At this point, you don't have any proof about anything. It may be herpes, it may be not. And if it is herpes, you just have to tell her the fact you know, and have a talk with her.

Herpes virus can stay in your body not showing any symptom. So you might get the virus from your previous mate, or you might get it from your new girlfriend. She might not be infected yet, but if she is the one who gave you the virus, she might get it from her previous mate. She may know that she has herpes, but she may not know that she has it..
But now, if the test result comes out HSV (either type1 or 2) positive, you have to talk to her, and probably she should go get tested, and study about herpes for both of you.

Remember, it's a great chance to get to know how she is, and how you are. And it's a great chance to see the strong bond you guys have.
If you guys can talk about it, and still care about each other, and can take a step forward together, ... herpes is gonna be a trivial thing.

Even if, someone at your work comes to know that you have herpes, as long as you are honest, and do the right thing... what do you regret?
Besides... don't you think that she loves you like you love her? Do you think she will ever advertise that you have herpes....?

Take care...

Answer:
Thanks for the response faith. It is now 6 days since my test. I haven't heard from my Doctor. I'm afraid to call, but I think he would have called by now if it was positive wouldn't he?
