My Setback is really pissing me off!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Question:
It seems like every damn day something is hurting. It is one vicious cycle after the other. Just when I experience some relief, here comes another cycle of pain. I am getting so freaking tired of it. It seems as if my back is permanently in pain. I am just tired of it. I am tired of being tired. I literally feel sick sometimes and then it will go away. I start to get happy :D because the sick is going away and then here comes the damn back pain, which moves into my stomach. You know it happens so frequently, until I know the pathway for my pain now. It is almost like "Hokey Pokey", but instead you putting your head in and your head out, it is more like my head is in pain and then head is not in pain, my head is in pain, then head is not in pain, I take an Ibprofen and I pray the pain will go away, that's what it's all about hokey pokey. I tried to make light of the situation, but seriously the pain starts in my head and goes to my spine, then in my upper back, then my lower back, then my hips, then my legs, then my groin, and by that time, here comes the tingling, itching, and irritated feeling in the vagina area. After it goes through this process and I think it is over, here it comes again!

Answer:
Is there any possibility that some of these symptoms are not related to the virus?

Can genital herpes cause pain in the head?

Sometimes I wonder if symptoms that should be treated - which have a different origin - are left untreated.

Just a thought.

Answer:
Actually, the pain in my head has really subsided tremendously. The pain was concentrated to the back of my head and I really do not feel it any more. The only pain that I continuously feel is in my back, legs, and vagina area. I must say that I do see some improvement, but I guess the prolong pain has taken a toll on me. I have had some type of pain since my initial outbreak and that is what has worn me out. I have been pretty positive up until this point, I don't know I guess I am in the middle of my pitty party.:(

Answer:
In regards to hsv and head pain, I did read that it can cause headaches and pain at the base of the brain. It just amazes me how many things are caused by this virus.

Answer:
I know how you feel. I am currently on my 4th pain free day after suffering for about 2 months with the first outbreak from hell. No over the counter pain relievers did anything for me and the Valtrex did nothing but make me feel dizzy. I'd have a day every once in a while where it seemed things calmed down and then BAM! it would be worse than ever.

Some others on here left me messages of encouragement that they went through similar experiences at first. So I guess I am doing the same now.

It will get better. What helped the most when I was feeling my worst was taking epsom salt baths, going commando with long skirts and applying caladryl clear lotion then blowdrying with a hair dryer set on cool.

I'm sorry you are feeling so crappy.

Answer:
Gawd...I feel your pain support1 and always.

It seems like I had a little reprieve after my first ob and now BLISTERS!
I didn't get blisters with my first ob. Now they're are multiplying!!!
I feel like crying...actually I did earlier today.

I'm so torn as to take the acyclovir again because I lost so much hair the first time. It reallllllllly wouldn't be good for my self esteem if I have blisters and lose more hair...that could be bad!

Answer:
Shayna, I am sorry to hear you are still suffering the blisters... I read other posts that acyclovir does take a few days to be effective... you are letting the virus out of your body after they accumulated for a while... Check with your dr if the blisters last too long, you may consider to ask for some antibiotics. Relax and concentrate do those things that can make you feel better...

Support1, I remember Caliope said taking antiviral pills did help her pain... In my case, I did not have the lingering nerve pain when I had constant Obs. Now I don't have ob, but at the time I am expecting it(around the 12th day after bleeding), I get the shooting nerve pain. So my guess is the virus causing it. Mine did not last over three days, once I uped the diet suppliments... But I guess the pain will intensify over time because more virus will be accumulating without an OB. By then I wil eat a lot of nuts to induce the damn blister to kill the pain. Will see.

Answer:
TY annyi! I'm starting to feel better. I decided not to take the acyclovir again because I lose so much hair from taking it.
I'm trying to take care of myself....life doesn't always make that easy.

I Hope you breeze through your next cycle with no pain!
