HSV 1 oral
Question: okay so,not sure where to post this but this looked like the right place, ive been getting coldsores since i was a kid,got it from kissing and its a hassle on things to say the least. well recently i started seeing a girl, started out as friends and we ended up kissing,no outbreaks were present and to be honest it didnt cross my mind well not to be too grafic but she has a thing about sucking on lips when she kisses, and a couple hours later (while she was still here) i noticed my lip had one coming on,im guessing from them being sucked on so hard(i FREAKED out)well it was dark and i couldnt tell if she had seen it or not,but she went home and i stressed like theres no tomorrow. couple days went by because i wanted to do the big talk in person about it but i couldnt wait,i called her on the phone said honesty is best here so i have to tell you,i get coldsores on my lips at times and you probly dont want to talk to me anymore i would have told you but i didnt think it was an issue.. but i have one now(ive had a cold last few days) she LAUGHED at me and said it was stupid to freak like that she gets them too blah blah, did NOT go how i thought it would, huge relief to be honest. she went on to say coldsores are fine as long as it isnt herpes..(is there any other kind of coldsores?) im guessing she meant type 2 or just doesnt understand coldsores means oral herpes? anyway im still stressed about this, ive been tested and it came up clean but the coldsores come when im stressing bad or have a cold so its obvious to me that i have it. im not sure what my question is here to be honest,i was just looking for some voice of reason on this whole situation,if she gets coldsores doesnt that mean she has atleast type 1 as well? Answer: So sounds like you both have herpes. Coldsores or fever blisters are herpes plain and simple. They are usually herpes simplex 1 (hsv1), but not always, and they can be transmitted to the genitals and other body parts. Hsv 2 is most commonly known to infect the genitals but not always, it also can be transmitted to the mouth and other body parts. Here is a link with info. Answer: she went on to say coldsores are fine as long as it isnt herpes You're right, she doesn't understand. Because even if she meant type 2, in my opinion (I've already had this discussion on here before, many times) essentially there is no difference between the two. Coldsores on the lips, coldsores down below - type1/type2. Who's counting??!! The only REAL difference is the stigma........... Answer: yeah thanx guys, she was here earlier and we had a long talk. im 99% sure she was talking about type2 although its a touchy subject so i didnt get too deep into it.. she said she had one like three weeks ago so i realised its all good Copyright © 2007 - 2008 www.thanktoday.com
