Hpv And Gh?

Question:
just wondering if there was anyone out there with HPV and GH? I found out last month about HPV. haven't had any symptoms of it but the all i know is it can lead to cervical cancer. but i just found out yesterday bout the gential herpes? is there anyone out there with this two for two combo? it just sucks because its a coupke of incurable stds..they're lifelong. but im gonna try to stay positive because i know stress can bring on ob or make a current one worse or prolonged. positive, postive, postive....smiles, smiles, smiles. I SURE WISH SOMEONE CAN GIVE ME A POSITIVE RESPONSE. IM TRYING SO HARD TO KEEP MY HEAD UP BUT HAVING A HARD TIME. ALL I CAN THINK ABOUT IS MY BOYFRIEND IS GONNA LEAVE ME. he doesnt have any symptoms and he's getting his bloodwrk checked but his doctor said, the bloodwork wont be accurate if youve never had an ob. then all i can think about is the severit of my ob now. it's my first ob and im wondering if this be the worse and when or how long do ob lasts...

Answer:
Smiles1513,

I was diagnosed with HPV in 1996 and 10 years later diagnosed with HSV (how ironic). Both of the diagnosis took a toll on me; however, I have gotten over it and moved on. Only time and a positive attitude will help you get through this. I will also say that this forum has helped me a lot. It is just good to express yourself to other individuals who are experiencing the same issues. Keep your head up and take care of yourself! :D

I have both too...........had HPV for 5 years and HSV for 2. Lucky me

There are hundreds of strains of HPV.....and only a few cause genital warts.........most do not. However, the few strains that cause genital warts are not linked to cervical cancer.......some of the other strains, but not all the other strains, are sometimes linked to cervical cancer. read up on it, if nothing else, you'll be more informed than most on the subject because it always seems to me that a lot of people are misinformed or just dont know what they are talking about when it comes to HPV ( and in some cases HSV as well)

the other day my own friend told me how she just got the vaccine for cervical cancer and I state : She told me "it protects against her ever getting cervical cancer, other types of HPV that could lead to cervical cancer, genital warts, herpes and a lot of other yucky things out there.......because you just never know and I want to be safe"

I wanted so bad to tell her she was totally mistaken but all i said was I wasnt crazy about the vaccine and it is my personal choice (even if I never got HPV yet, i wouldnt have the shot) but anyhow, I told her the basics about how it claims to protect against a few strains of HPV some of which cause genital warts and that the shot is not a guarantee and may or may not work for some people and ended it there..........people need to get the facts

thank you for your wisdom. as you can tell im a newbie. just diagnosed with hpv 4 weeks ago and herpes 3 days ago. i dont what know strain i have of either. my appointments for both viruses are next week. lucky us huh? dont worry, im keeping my head up. learning that theres hope for reduced, less sever outbreaks makes me have hope. im still on my first ob and im just counting the days when my vagina will look like her old self. the only thing thtas bringing me down is my boyfriend. he doesnt have any symptoms and im not sure where i got it from but im not pointing fngers at anyone. i pray he doesnt have it but bloodtests are never accurate, right? his results arent in yet but nothing will ever be the same between us. i pray and wish that whether or not he has it, he'll still want to be with me or least be my friend. i could tell we've already becme distant. but im trying not to let that add to my stress because i read that stress makes ob worse or brings them on...well, thanks again for your wisdom....quick question though....any advice on treatment. im on valtrex twice daily till my first ob goes away and then on to one-a-days. i was reading up on the dynmaclear products...any suggestions??

Answer:
I have both too. HPV diagnosed two years ago, HSV one year three months. Doc did not give me any med for HPV. I read SOME HPV can go clear with time. I did take a lot of valtrex last year when an ob onset, did not do anything. Then when I started to read on this website about the vitamins and supplements and follow them, my OB finally got better controlled. "Once a month" was the thread followed the change. I have a symptom of getting a light fever after bleeding stops, it may relate to HPV, just guessing.

Answer:
I have both as well... I have the cancer causing HPV... what a blessing... :) I just figured it added one more disclaimer to my dating convos... I got the diagnosis about the same time... within a few months of each other...
