Question:
I gave my partner oral herpes that I didn't know I had. I evidently picked up oral herpes when receiving oral sex from a previous partner.
My symptoms have never been more than a very slight rash and dry skin on the head of my penis. a little discomfort occassionally, but never any pain.

My question is: can exposed to viral particles from a partner trigger an outbreak if you already have the same virus in your system?

If the answer is no can you point me to any literature or websites that support that claim?

But still, I know an actual case that denies those articles..
