Reality TV
Question: I wonder how many contestant on shows like Survivor have herpes. Wouldn't it suck to get an OB in the middle of the jungle like that. On Kid Nation I noticed that Laurel often has cold sores and I've seen a couple other kids with them too. Answer: On Kid Nation I noticed that Laurel often has cold sores and I've seen a couple other kids with them too. I noticed that as well. It's sort of a relief to see people on tv with cold sores when it's not part of a joke or some twisted movie plot line. Also messy hair, sleepy eyes, and no-brand clothing. As an aside, Laurel is one of my favorite kids. She kicks butt! Answer: Well, on Survivor and Big Brother you can't have any medical conditions that would even possibly interfere with the show in any way. If my info. is right, both of these shows have yet to get someone in who is taking daily meds of any type other than the pill. I think Amazing Race would probably allow it, but for the most part these people don't want anything interfering with the shows - especially those who tape 24/7. FWIW Answer: But would this interfere? I mean, what if you hardly ever get outbreaks and only get very minor ones when you do? I don't want to be on TV or anything, I just wonder what the odds are that nobody ever on those shows have had it. Copyright © 2007 - 2008 www.thanktoday.com
