I have a confession to make

Question:
QUOTE FROM ANOTHER THREAD.
"
Just like most of you I was going through some real hard times dealing with herpes. Thankfully I knew that I always had God to fall back on for comfort and help. I had been praying that God would help me get through the pain, and sure enough I stumbled upon a Shelley Lubben on television talking about how God cured her of her herpes and all the emotional pain she went though during her time in the adult entrainment industry. Since then I’ve become very close with God and all the pain I was going through as a result of herpes (depression, shame, embarrassment, etc.) is now gone from my life and has been replaced with joy, happiness, and fulfillment. I am standing strong in the word of God and believing in Isaiah 53:5 "But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed" that I will be healed of my herpes just like Shelley Lubben. I HAVE A CONFESSION TO MAKE.

I'm not just a glamour model. My name is [name removed by Admin for privacy reasons]. Some of you "may" recognise the name from Television X.

I was an adult entertainer before I caught herpes. Sorry if I have decieved any of you.

THE RANT

Why do people in the adult entertainment industry need to be "cured"? There is nothing wrong with us!!!!

I'm not religious, however I can normally see other peoples points of view. But not on this case I'm afraid! I'm actually very offended!

Answer:
Oh, I don't know, Bristolgal, when I read that, I took from it that she was referring to Shelley Lubben's herpes, and maybe whatever emotional pain Lubben's may have suffered for whatever reason. I didn't take from it that adult entertainers in general need to be cured of anything in particular, like what makes them decide to be adult entertainers. Maybe she feels that way, because it seems most over-the-edge Christians are pretty opinionated about things like that, but you have to take it with a grain of salt. Don't take it personally.

There's room for everyone in this world if we'd all just stop pushing ourselves into other peoples' space, if you know what I mean. Personally, I doubt there are very many people who haven't fantasized about doing it in front of a camera. To anyone who does it of their own free will, I say rock on. ;)
