I am sorry to hear of your problem and the circumstances of how you aquired it. But, there is a cure. I too suffer(ed) from this illness. I want you to know that I am NOT a physician and this is not medical advice. I also happen to be a scuba diver and came down with decompression sickness, a divers illness. (read about it on the web). As a result I was placed in a hyperbaric chamber for 6 hours breathing pure oxygen under high pressures. This cured my illness. I have spoken at great lengths to many organizations and research centers regarding discovery and I am met with quite a bit of skepticism and have received no help in pursuing this as a treatment. I was literally told that yes the medical community knows it is a potential cure but no one will supprt a treatment that competes with the pharmacutical industry, there's more money to be made "treating" it then there is curing it. One person I spoke to that originally supported HBOT as a cure was shut down and it is belived that the pharmacutical industry may have been behind this. I was cured for over a year and then I recontracted the illness ( I know when and where and how). A doctor, suspecting that this treatment worked, advised me to fake decompression illness again and go through another treatment, which I plan to do. I am very interested in learning more. When you say that you were cured, do you mean your blood tested negative?? or you did not get an ourbreak.

2bhealthy, that's what I want to know to. It is big difference between your blood testing negative and just simply not having anymore outbreaks at the moment. If your blood still has the antibodies in it then you still have Herpes point blank it just may be lying dormant for now.

once you have been exposed you are always going to test positive. The test (western blot) only determines if you have been exposed. Even if there is a cure that particular test will show that you have herpes because it only detects the antibodies that are in your blood after you have it. That being said, I am not sure that the liquid oxygen would work, I am doubtful. I think that the immense pressure that one is exposed to in a hyperbaric oxygen therapy chamber and the pure oxygen that you are breathing destroys all of the herpes viruses in your system. You can read all about it on the net. Browse hyperbaric oxygen therapy and read everything you can. There are doctors and organizations out there that believes this works and I am living proof. I have personally spoken to them. The problem is that the FDA and other governing orgainizations won't approve it as a treatment. There's no money behind it like the standard pharmacuetial treatments. It also costs about 5,000 dollars a session in the chamber.
I want to emphasize that I am not a doctor and breathing oxygen under pressure is extremely dangerous. At certain depths it becomes toxic and you can die so make sure if you pursue this do this only with approved equipment and under a physicians care. There are doctors out there that will do this but they do it under the guise of other medical problems such as the "bends".
I believe this is how it works. When you dive, you are under immense pressure and you get the bends from the nitrogen bubbles in your system being compressed and moving into you muscle tissue, brain and nervous system (where the virus lives). Regular air does not contain the oxygen content needed to destroy the virus. It is common knowledge that the virus can not live in a pure oxygen environment. When I went through my treatment for the "bends" (the nitrogen bubbles stuck in my system) they put me back under pressure breathing pure oxygen so I didn't absorb more nitrogen. The pure oxygen, compressed saturated my body and killed all of the virus. I had no more outbreaks. Oxygen saturation under pressure is a common treatment for many diseases and medical disorders. I just haven't had any luck pursuing this legitimately through the medical community because its "not approved" for HBOT. I figure if I get the word out to as many people as I can, someday someone will make this a standard treatment. I will post some other websites asap.

Pardon my skepticism, but on what do you base your cure? That you have no more outbreaks? If you are lucky enough to have no more outbreaks, then perhaps your therapy worked, but as long as you have the virus in your system, you are not cured; at best, you're in remission. I just don't buy it.

Wow, you must be a physician or a researcher... That sounds exactly like what every physisican (except one) said. I am not asking you to "buy" it or anything, I am merely relaying my experience. I am basing my "cure" on the absence of outbreaks and I have not transmitted it to my current partner. My then partner and I both had it and transmitted it back and forth to each other on a regular basis, something I was willing to live with at that time. True, the standard tests today test for antibodies, once you are exposed you'll always test for these antibodies, however, just because you test positive for the antibodies doesn't necessarily mean you still have it. You can be as skeptical as you want. If you have it, you're the one that has to live with it and listen to the pharmacutical companies, who will tell you it can only be "treated". That's convienent for them because they can make trillions treating it but if this does in fact cure it, then the profitability would disappear.
I have nothing to sell, I am merely passing on my personal experience. I am not the only one. There are numerous website for hyperbaric medicine on the web that offers this as a cure, most are in other countries.
If you have it then you probably know that some things trigger outbreaks, stress, chocolate (which contains arginine that activates the virus), smoking (reduces the bodys amount of oxygen) etc. After my first outbreak I researched this virus thoroughly and learned all of this. After my diver accident and subsequent 6 hour treatment I couldn't give myself an outbreak. For years I wouldn't eat chocolate because if I did I would get an outbreak, after the treatment I could eat all I wanted with no outbreak. Stress, I have plenty of it at work, no outbreaks.
Another interesting bit of information for you, if you do have outbreaks you can treat them successfully without buying valtrex etc. L-Lysine is a common over the counter, amino acid. I temporarily deactivates the virus in your system. The virus needs arginine to become active in your system, thats why chocolate, high in arginine, causes outbreaks in most people. L-Lysine counteracts the arginine in your system and as long as your lysine level is higher than your arginine level you won't get an outbreak. My treatment used to be l-lysine, at the first sign of a headache whcih usually was my first sign of an outbreak I would take 1000 - 2000 mg of l-lysine each day for two weeks. This would not only relieve my sysmptoms but I would not develop any lesions or occasionally I would have only a very mild short term outbreak.
I want to reitterate that I am not a doctor and I am not advising anyone on how to treat themselves but merely passing along my experience.
It is amazing how little the medical community actually knows about this virus or maybe they just aren't willing to pursue a "cure" because it won't generate the money that treatments like valtrex do.
I have spoken with many physician and researchers about my experience and have been met with the same skepticism that you have. It's a shame because I know through my own experience that this has been my cure.
Do some research on hyperbaric medicine and hyperbaric oxygen therapy, you'll be amazed at the medical applications it has. Unfortunately it is only beginning to be accepted as standard medical treatment. There hasn't been thorough research on HBOT and it's effects on the virus. Why? "Because there's no money to be made putting affected people in a tank for 6 hours and cure them, when you can offer them medicines as a treatment that you have to pay for, every month, every year, for the rest of your life. In additon to that if you cure someone then they can't transmit it to anyone else (another source of income) but if you only treat them, well then they still have the potential to transmit it to others and then they have to buy your medicine." By the way I am not a conspiracy theorist, a very dear friend of mine who happens to be a physician and believes that HBOT works said those very same words.
I am only hoping that by getting this information out that it will reach someone who can begin research on it and prove that it works. Ask yourself, what could I possibly have to gain by making this up?

I don't believe anyone has ever been placed under the same conditions that I have (6 hours, pure oxygen (Table 6USAF with two extensions)) and studied the effects on the virus. This infomormation above merely lays a foundation for what has happened to me, I couldn't find an example of the exact same senario and treatment.
