Need some advice info about herpes
Question: Is it posible to have HSV 1 on your genital area? Reason I ask is because I tested positive for HSV 1, but I've always known that because I had cold sores on the mouth, but I got tested because I noticed some little somewhat clear sacs below the head of my penis, and they always disappear and reappear...they do not hurt or anything, but I'm worried it's an STD because it never completely goes away...could it be HSV 1 on the genitals and if so, how is that less bad than having HSV 2? Answer: It could be H1. The best thing to do is have those clear bumps or whatever they are cultured by your doctor. The results will tell you yes or no. H1 and H2 are basically the same thing. They usually vary more in severity and location. Some articles I have read say that if you have H1 in the genitals you have more of an immunity to H2 in the genitals. But it is still a risk. Answer: You can definitely get HSV-1 in your genitals, that's what I got through oral sex. My doctor said H1 vs H2 is the same thing because it's still genital herpes, but the biggest difference is that with HSV-1 you are less likely to have recurrent outbreaks and shed, making transmission less likely (but still possible!). Answer: Did the person have a sore in their mouth when they performed oral sex on you? I would like to know for future experiences. I do not want to pass it on but I would still like to perform oral on my b/f. Did he/she have a sore in his/her mouth at the time? Copyright © 2007 - 2008 www.thanktoday.com
