honey, i promise you, you won't die from having herpes. whoever told you that lied to you. i just started going on to these herpes websites and i can promise you, that it will be okay. i have had herpes since i was 23 years old. I am now 32 years old and have a wonderful husband who doesn't have herpes and my ex boyfriend never contracted it either. you can live with herpes; no, it's not the greatest, but either is any disease. i read all this depressing stuff on these websites and it really amazes me, how so many people have this disease and can't find anything positive to say about it. it's not going to go away, so we have to find out more information. i got it from a guy through a broken condom and i was in shock, too, but once i learned about it, i realized life does go on. take care.
