It has now been scientifuically proven that prayer helps people to recover and even be cured of illness. It is my belief that we should all pick a day and time and pray for our healing and the healing of others with herpes, with a strong focus on a cure. There is certainly something to be said for belief and mass consciousness. We will build up others as well as ourselves. :)

hello ..im just curious, but what material do u have/knowOf that "scientifically" proves prayer...?

Dont get me wrong - i myself pray, but i also have read alot of science
materials and have a keen scientific interest too.

What i know for sure is that there is such thing as "mind over matter", that positive thought and hope does wonders for the human body - whether that comes from optimism or faith or positive self re-inforcement.. its sometimes theorised that when ppl pray to maintain hope and do get well again, that it may infact be a case of mind over matter - prayer being the vehicle for that.

So basically, if you are able to disclose this "scientific proof" i would be keen to read it - as it would not only be helpful to my own spiritual development, it appeals to my scientific curiousities and would also be handy for referring my other similarly curious-minded friends (all of which enjoy science - some often pray while others not so much and a few that dont pray at all)

Even if you arent able to disclose the "scientific proof" you typed about in your post - i still commend you for your obviously kind and well meaning intentions. :wink:
