ethics of fooling around with herpes

Question:
This is fairly new to me. i have only had genital herpes for about 3 months now and have recently begun hanging out with someone, the first since i contracted this. I avoided the scenario all together as i was still feeling terribly confused about how dangerous i was to be physical with, then after finally getting online decided i may have been being exageratively paranoid, and have started kissing and fooling around, although being terribly adament about keeping my pants on. i have not had any outbreak yet aside from the first, so i feel that i am acting responsibly. Still i have moments of getting very worried that against the odds i am endangering them. Should i come clean before engaging in activities such as fingering and performing oral sex on them, even though this seems to be regarded as safe activities in the prevention of spreading? i am looking for opinions.

Answer:
Genital herpes is passed through genital to genital contact. Unless that occurs, or someone perfoms oral sex on you, the chance of transmission is about zero. You fingering or performing oral sex on them will not transfer the virus.
