New Grant awarded for hsv2 research

Question:
I saw this on another site, and just wanted to pass on the link should anyone else be interested. University of Oklahoma has just been awarded an 850,000 grant for HSV2 research

IDK, It kinda makes me feel better to know that somewhere, someone thinks it's an issue enough, especially regarding quality of life to not be ignored.

cheers.

Answer:
Well, I have to admit, that's encouraging. Very encouraging.

I also found it interesting that they referred to it as 'a women's issue'. Funny... I always thought guys got it, too.

LOLZ, yeah....I think it's safe to say men get it too, as I am pretty sure I didn't get it from the herpes fairy (though if any of y'all see a herpes fairy, shoot on sight!!!)

But yes, I agree that any research is encouraging, regardless of it being for preventive/suppressive or gawd willing, a cure. It helps me to know that somewhere, someone is thinking of us, and knows this just sucks.
