Do Herbal supplements work? Doctor says NO
Question: I was wondering what supplements work to prevent to "treat" symptoms. Never had blister/sore outbreaks, but have had pains in legs. Test came back positive for IGM. I want to be pro-active and avoid getting blisters or any other symptoms for that matter. What herbal supplements or pills can I take. I asked my doctor and he said there are NO herbs or supplements that will help me. 1) I read a lot about Lysine...does it work. 2) I also found a bunch of herbal pills you can buy online that claim to prevent symptoms for years...do they work? Or, are they a scam aimed at people like me pulling at strings? 3) Do I take these supplements everyday or just during symptoms? thanks Answer: Hi, 1) It works for some people, it doesn't for others. 2) Some are scams, some are not. Each person react to those pilles differently. 3) You just have to experiment it. Doctors who believe in only those medicine they prescribe tend to say that no herbs and supplements work. But... each people's body is different. You just have to try it and see if it works for you. The important thing for preventing outbreaks is to make your immune system strong. Some people are taking garlic tablet for it. Best wishes.. Faith Answer: I asked my doctor and he said there are NO herbs or supplements that will help me. I've stopped believing in everything the doctor tells me these days. Most practioners of western medicine are either too self-serving or too ignorant. Remember their training are solely based on what the major pharmaceuticals and drug companies dictate... Copyright © 2007 - 2008 www.thanktoday.com
