Aloe Vera & vitamin E ... my 2 cents
Question: I am a new member, and I have "our" common Virus (coldsore) I use aloe vera.. it helps "sort of" neutralize the blisters, although it is not perfected.... it helps. My method: - I literally cut the aloe plant and use the "inside clear jell stuff " (clear slices of the jelly, thowing the green skin away) and cutting the clear jelly slabs into smaller piecies and stick it on the blister with a toothpick, i can feel an instant tingle (although it does not cure it completely) it helps "neutralize" so it doesn't spread, this is an un-orthodox way i guess, althought it has not stopped it completely, i think it helps, it feels good when i put it on... I have used Zovirax, but it leaves a scar, and the ointment seems acid like ( does not feel natural or good) - I can also use the aloe liquid from the plant and put on sore, but this tends to be messier. so i cut the jelly slabs and put it on blister, it tends to cover the area better and less messier. ALSO: use - vitamin E for healing the scar. thats the best i can give.... any other Natural (herbal, vitamins) or medicinal products, nutritional methods, would be greatly appreciated. please help... Faith...anyone? thanksAlot Answer: I take Zovirax tab..400mg at the 1st sign of being run down, or redness. on my lip.....and it seems to stop it from comming out......its always stressful, but it has worked for me now 22mths. Hope that helps......... Answer: Hey Jaysmom... so nice to hear from you, have you seen "crazylady" anywhere? Nice to see your post baby. Lasmom Answer: So cool to see you write back..........its me...Iam home today Thanks Answer: Aloemen, Aloe can widely work for many things. My mom used to cut aloe and peel it, put the clear part directly on my wound (cut, abrasion, etc), seemed like it healed the wound faster. Also, read the past posts by Layla. She suggested using Olive leaf extract, dissolving salt water, and Lysine, .... Best wishes.. Faith Answer: Thanks Faith.... you are so nice Answer: I suppose you've heard a lot of people talk about L-Lysine? It is available in most vitamin sections of the drug store, is a naturally-occuring amino acid that many report keeps the virus at bay. I read recently online that the best results are reported from those with oral herpes/cold sores. So it seems like you're a good candidate to give it a try. Some people pop 1000 mg 2x a day when they feel an ob coming on, for the duration, and it knocks it back. Others say they take 500mg-1000mg a day as suppression. That's all I know. I have recently started taking it when I feel funky but don't have any conclusions to share yet. Best of luck. Palomita Copyright © 2007 - 2008 www.thanktoday.com
