ok...if someone could just take the time to read my story and tell me what they think...cuz doctors just dont help. about 8 months ago i woke up after having sex because i was so painfully itchy down there. i had small bumps all over, plus flu symptoms so bad i could barely stand. My partner also said he was itchy but was no where near as bad as i was. Since then i have had red bumps every day since. they are itchy sometimes, but for the most part looks like razor burn. But i am soar or uncomfortable all the time. I was looked at by a doctor and had a swab done that came back negative, but before getting the results i was put on valtrex and it made me worse. I then had a blood test by another doctor and was positive for herpes 1 but negative for 2. Which confuses me because i have never had any soars on my mouth. My doctor said that it didnt look like herpes because it looks more like a rash. But this has been 8 looooooong months of symptoms and i dont know where to turn now or what to do, because all doctors tell me that im not a herpes case. But i cant help but think i am. what do i do...

Hi sweetheart im sorry that you have been in pain for 8 months. I think this virus is so confusing. My guess is that you have herpes 1 genitally, that is what I have. I tried valtrex and it didnt do a damn thing, i was in pain for 2 months. I just recently was diagnosed. I had very small, almost unnoticable broken skin, the doctor said because there were no big blisters with liquid or something, a swab test wouldnt work, i found out from a blood test. Also your doctors are wrong to think that herpes looks a certain way, it is different for everybody. The only thing I dont understand is everything I have read says that when you have herpes 1 or2 outside of where it usually lives, it losses its bunch. It seems that your simptoms shouldnt be so bad. do ;you take care of yourself, like eat health, exercise, no stress, maybe avoid coffee and chocolate. no drugs, not to much alcohol. sorry my spelling is horrible. anyways I think for sure go to a different doctor, your doctors sound stupid. try to find a clinic that specializes is stds or something. .. let me know how your doing oh ya there is a great article that one of the staff posted, its called bad virus good virus, it talks about genital H 1.
