I Have a Plan...Please Help Me finalize it!!!

Question:
Hey all,

First off, I'd like to thank everyone who contributes to this site. The information here is invaluable. You can't get most of this information from a doctor's office and it is so hard to just strike up a conversation about it in day to day life about herpes to get any kind of help...Even though you know there are other people with it. I would specifically like to thank "Richard," "Lasmom," "Cain" and the one guy who had the bends that did the 6 hr oxygen treatment. I know there are others but those are the 4 that come to mind right off the bat. Thanks!

Here is my background...I am a 26 byr old male. I recently got herpes through protected sex. Which as much as it sucks to get herpes when u have protected sex and u think u have all the bases covered, I am grateful that it is north of the goods and not on the goods. So I dont think my case is as bad as some. For the record (since I wanna document this with as much detail as possible) during my outbreaks I start with the tingle in the trouble area, back, neck and joint pain (which I found that the best way to get rid of the aches and pains is to exercise and not lay around) and discomfort while urinating. The actual spot where the outbreak occurs is a little larger than a quarter. It has lasted about 2 and a half weeks untreated.

After reading alot of posts here in the past few weeks I wanna come up with shotgun approach to getting rid of this. With the lack of professional research that is being conducted out there I am gonna try to come up with my own type of treatment method and this is where I would like some help. So far, this is the plan I have come up with:

1) Establish a pattern of outbreaks: Since I have had Herpes for about 7 weeks I don't have enough "data points" to be certain as to how often I will have outbreaks. I haven't taken any medication or anything as of yet, even though I have some which the doctor gave me. I don't wanna be reliant on it and so I wanna avoid it, but I may use it if I have a bad outbreak or something. My outbreaks (I've had 2) so far haven't been too bad..nothing I can't handle anyway.

2) Control Outbreaks Naturally: Find out a natural way to control the outbreaks while at the same time documenting the outbreaks as they occur. What I have come up with is I will take Lysine, Vitamin-E, and the daily mulit-vitamn that I usually take. If anyone can give me recommended dosages that would be great. What I want to try for is a 2-3 month outbreak pattern. I don't wanna mask the problem completely cuz ultimately I wanna try to rid the outbreaks altogether uncontrolled. The only way to know for sure (as sure as I can be under the circumstances anyway...no reliable testing that can be done) that I have eradicated the outbreaks is to have a repeatable pattern of recurrence. That's why the 2-3 month OB pattern. I would like to use this post as kind of a running diary.

3) Choraphor: Once I have a reliable pattern as to my OBs, I will zap it with Choraphor. From what I've gathered from here and their website (albeit biased), there appears to be some form of virus weakening that the stuff does. The OBs appear to be stretched farther apart and less severe than they were prior to the Choraphor treatment. Even though some people report they have no more outbreaks, it doesn't mean it is erradicated. I am hoping that after the Choraphor treatment to have a 6 month OB pattern without taking any of the controlling substances mentioned before. If after 6 months, I do not have an OB, I will take some arginine pills to see if I can induce an OB. If I get an OB then, I will be zap it again with the Choraphor and then move on to next stage. If I don'get an OB I still plan on moving to the next stage. BTW, I anticipate having an OB before the 6 month stage, just wishful thinking that this is gonna work!

4) HBOT treatment: Regardless of the OB situation after the Choraphor treatment, I plan on doing the 20 step HBOT treatment. From Cain's e-mail it sounds like this may also wake up whatever virus is still left in me and hopefully kill it in the subsequent treatments.

5) Waiting game: After all the treatments, then it is just a waiting game. After the same 6 month time period, try to induce an OB.

Well, that is my plan. Any suggestions, advice, opinions, sounds like a good idea, sounds stupid, anything at all that anyone can say to help me out would be greatly appreciated. Like I said, I plan on keeping sort of a diary on here to keep people posted as I go along. I know it's not a quick-fix type of plan but if I dont do the initial OB patterns, it will always be in the back of my mind whether its gone completely. This is about the most scientific approach I can come up with. I am hoping to keep the price under $2000 for all the treatments. I haven't started looking at the price HBOT treatments yet but the Choraphor is about $100. If I can kick this thing for $2000 it would be the best 2K I ever spent. The extended time frame allows me enough time to save up for them.

Thanks for reading this!!!!!

Answer:
That sounds like an interesting proposal, although i prefer waiting for something approved by the FDA, theres no harm in trying something else!! One thing i would suggest to you, if your outbreaks are eliminated after your 6month timespan, is to begin doing PCR testing for asymptomatic shedding. Do a search online for the process involved in the testing. If you arent familiar with shedding, its when the virus is present on the skin without signs/symptoms of an OB...at this point you are still contagious. In my opinion that is the worst aspect of having this, not knowing when you can potentially pass it on to someone else!! Ive read that shedding occurs only a few days out of the year, so that will probably be the longest part of your "study"...if you can stay symptom AND shedding free of the virus for a long period of time, then thats something to celebrate!!....Good luck, keep us posted!!

Thanks for your post and your kind words. One thing that you may want to include that I have mentioned in the past is probiotics. Yogurt kefir, cultured vegetables, raw vegetables. Good bacteria from probiotics create a hostile evironment for bad bacteria and viruses. I'm going to start making my own kefir with raw milk from grass-fed cows. If you want to read about all of this check out www.mercola.com There's nothing there that details the treatment of HSV but there is a lot of information on the immune system and general health. I want to reach a point of total suppression while we all wait and search for a cure. My only problem is that I regularly miss sleep due to my job as a night club bartender. Lost sleep and alcohol are almost sure fire ways to trigger a breakout for me. Anyhow, keep it up with your proactive attitude. It inspires others and makes your experience with this thing much more manageable.
