Question:
My wife and are HSV2 positive. We both have it orally.

If we practice unprotected oral sex, we are concerned that we would get it genitally, which doesn't sound fun to us.

Searching the forum, I have found conflicting information -- some have said that herpes prefers a site and once infected, it cannot be concentrated in another site, so the risk of genital infection is small. Others have said this is clearly possible.

The info on the web appears to be very disorganized on this topic as well.

Is there authoritative information?
