I'm getting rid of it!

Question:
I first got infected with herpes 18 years ago and have had several ob's per year since then. They are generally quite mild and not too painful. Recently they have been a bit more frequent, this has coincided with bouts of bad lower back pain. Does anyone know of a connection between herpes and lumbar pain? Could be a misalignment in the spine makes it easier for the virus to travel down the nerves, or maybe the pain is the virus affecting the nerves on the way to the skin....not sufficiently knowledgable on the subject, would appreciate your views.

Anyway, the time has come to defeat this once and for all. I got Aciclovir tablets and cream from the doctor yesterday. Took the pills for one day and they made me feel ill so I have binned them. I like the naturopathic approach to health and don't believe driving a disease back into your body is the best way to good health.

So I would rather work on my immune system to ensure my body keeps the virus dormant in the cells. I have ordered choraphor and hope that will help. I have also downloaded the foods high in Lysine (good) and high in arginine (bad) and I'm going to alter my diet accordingly.

Any other suggestions? The annoying thing is I have a really healthy lifestyle already and don't feel it is fair I am plagued by this horrible bug.

On a separate subject, I hope this will reassure anyone who recently got infected. I have had long and short term partners and (touch wood) never infected anyone. I just avoid sex during an outbreak, and always use condoms with short term partners. I have never felt the need to tell any partners I am infected. (Not very courageous, nut nobody's perfect). ?

Answer:
maybe you should read up on DMSO and the Never an Outbreak book. i'm thinking about trying it. good luck!

Answer:
i recently fell off a horse and fractured my sacrum. I also have nerve damage and have pretty much no feeling from the pubic bone to my tail bone. Subsequently i have gotten the worst OB since my first. I think it had something to do with me damaging the nerves that H sets up house in? Thank god i cant feel anythign but i can see several big raw blisters. I never got blisters before, but more like slits in skin, usually inthe same place but these are all over.

Amy

Answer:
i think the virus stays dormant by the base of your spine. Maybe damagin it has made the area weak/sensitive and the virus is able to more easil be disturcbed or able to come to the surface
