Please respond? Scared for children
Question: I wonder if I can pass this to my children by saliva. Ex. sharing a drink or kissing them. I havnt had an oral outbreak, only vaginal one but it is HSV type 1 and I am assuming that who I caught this from must have had it and I kissed them as well. I dont know if I will get coldsores but am assuming I will. I have read about "shedding" even when no symptoms are present and I am scared to even kiss my kids goodnight! I dont have any apparent sores but have had some tingling in my lips. Will I ever be able to kiss my babies again? Answer: For babies, better not kiss them as their immunity system are still not completely developed. For children above 5, it's ok to give them a DRY KISS on the cheeks only. Also, make sure you don't have any sores, outbreaks (both oral and genital or any part of your body), tingling when you kiss them. For asyptomatic viral shedding, you might wanna try using Olive Leaf Extract. It has been proven to reduce the risk of viral shedding significantly. It also helps cut short your outbreaks. Message me if you want to know more. Answer: I am interested in this. Please tell me more. Answer: My daughter gets cold sores. Do you mean that it would be dangerous for her to kiss her infant or toddler sons even when she is not having any problem with the cold sores? She is very affectionate; this would kill her. Answer: Unfortunately, it would be dangerous for her to kiss her infant/toddler brothers even if she isn't having an outbreak. She could be shedding the virus, and potentially speaking, could infect her brothers. Please inform your daughter about this; I find that most people just aren't informed about cold sores and how they're spread. Copyright © 2007 - 2008 www.thanktoday.com
