Question:
I thought I was having some lingering symptoms of an OB, muscle aches, tender skin, numb joints. It appears to have been a reaction to Valtrex. I didn't finish the last day and sure enough those symptoms went away, and I just plain FEEL better. I've read elsewhere of ppl experiencing spinal problems or other nervous system related damage. I didn't have any of the reported side effects (headache, nausea, etc)

My OB didn't last long, wasn't strong. Actually, the antibiotics I was on before the Valtrex stopped the burning sensation during urination. I only had two sores. It's confusing me enough that I will visit another doctor soon.

That said, anyone else have bad reaction to Valtrex?[/i]

when I first started taking it I had terrible spinal pain but I am thinking that it was being caused by my first outbreak. It was pretty nasty. After a few days the side effects wore off and I was feeling much better.

hmm. I've never heard of HSV causing spinal pain. Guess I was one of the .. . . lucky ones? Me, I'll try some other drug on my next OB.
