I dont have outbreaks anymore

Question:
I know how depressing herpes can be but over time it should go away as your immune system adapts to it. I never have outbreaks anymore. Depression/anxiety and bad diet used to trigger an outbreak but not anymore.

Answer:
how long has it been since your first outbreaak?

Answer:
Since my first outbreak about 3 years. I suffered with 3 monthly outbreaks for 2 years. However, I noticed that each attack was getting progressively weaker once 12 months elapsed.

Answer:
May I ask which type of H did u have? HSV 1 or 2? Was it oral or genital?

I haven't posted in this forum for a while but thought I'd check in today...and here I see the same post I was about to post! I've had HSV for a little over two years. It gets progressively weaker and it's almost a non-issue for me now. I just recently triggered the first minor outbreak in months b/c of a partying binge that found me drunk into the morning two nights in a row (stupid I know). If I hadn't have done that I would not have had even this recent minor ob. I haven't even experienced prodrome symptoms like I used to. I should say though that in general I lead a very healthy life with lots of vegetables and fruit, free-range meat and eggs, smart supplementation, exercise, etc. It seems that in my case if I give my immune system the fuel it needs to function properly HSV isn't a problem. Like I mentioned earlier only a hardcore drinking binge can bring on an ob now. Anyway, stay as healthy as possible folks and believe it can be beat! I do!

Answer:
Cain- may I ask what kind of H you have? 1 or 2?

Answer:
I've heard that it gets less with time. That had not been the case with me.
I had the initial horrible OB. Then I had one or two here and there for a couple years. Then it got to where it was constant. One OB after another with no response to meds. I think I've found my healing path. But mine got worse with time!

There is no way to wipe out the herpes virus from you body. If there were we wouldn't be hear to post about herpes.

Hang in there,

The long you have herpes in your body the less frequent the outbreaks become. I have found that to be the case for me with my experience regarding herpes.

Hang in there,
