Hi! Well I had an outbreak last wk and Im due Thurs. and well he said that they like for you to be clear for 2 wks before considering a vagi delivery and that would put me past due so they scheduled me for a c-section this Wed morning! I might still have a trace of the outbreak and am hoping that w/ the c-section she will be just fine and not come into contact w/ it! Any thoughts ?? Anyone ever had a c-sectionv/c they were having an outbreak?

Answer:
If it were me, I'd probably wait and see if I could make it the two weeks for the vag delivery, but I don't think there is anything wrong with the c-section if you or your doc don't want you to carry to 42wks. I happen to be very pro-vag deliveries though. If you want/need to deliver now than the section is the way to go. I'm sure you will be fine and will have a beautiful babe to show for it. Good luck! I have to kids - one was delivered c-section due to out break and there were no complications whatever. If it means the safetly and health of your child, the c-section is a small price to pay! Good Luck!
