OLE,Monolaurin or BHT Failed?

Question:
Hi,

I have been reading the Forum and there are many things which have or have not worked for people for e.g I have used Lysine 1000mg thrice a day and it did not work for me.

After reading many posts it seems to me that three of the powerful things are as Olive Leaf Extract, Monolaurin(e.g Lauricidin) and BHT. It will be great if people can share their experiences with these.

Some times things dont work if used in less than optimal dose.

If you have used Olive Leaf extract such that the oleuropein (the effective ingredient) was more than 300mg per day. or Monolaurin more than 6gm perday or BHT more than 1000mg per day and it did not work please share your experience.

thanks

Answer:
Are you planning on trying any of these things?

Answer:
If I am convinced that they work then yes.

I too am looking for feedback on this but I do not plan on trying it because proven herpes antivirals work for me.

None of the things that you are asking about are proven herpes antivirals that will reduce asymptomatic shedding or frequency of outbreaks or cut transmission rates by about 50%.

Angela :D Neither are any of the precious metals found on this planet.

But, load down your bloodstream with enough silver colloids and you'll kill off so many viral particles that your body will go into a healing crisis.

No, I wouldn't advise anyone to use metallic remedies against herpes.

Just making a point about the FDA / Pharmaceutical "clinical trial" game.

Yes, the pharmaceutical "antiviral medications" do reduce outbreak frequency and asymptomatic viral shedding.

I believe it was you who provided this factual information...

An antiviral medication works something like this: the drug presents itself to the herpes virus as being a chemical element that the virus needs to reproduce itself. But it is really just a phony, and when the virus tries to reproduce after it takes up the medicine, it can't. It doesn't die off completely, but it doesn't reproduce effectively either.
Is it just me?

Personally, I think a monkey could figure out that any substance which is specifically designed to leave mature viral particles alive and intact is, without doubt, ineffective as part of a long-term treatment program.

Most people such as yourself that believe in the big bad conspiracy theories think along the same lines.

It's not a shock to me at all..

I stick with what's been proven in clinical studies and keep my life simple.

Angela :D Personally, I tend to look at scientific fact, rather than theory.

Although, outside the realm of science, it is also a fact that there will never be a clinical study on any treatment outside the pharmaceutical arena.

And, yes, I notice you spend alot of time on these websites discouraging conversation on any type of treatment outside the pharmaceutical arena.

But, wouldn't it be fair to say that discussion on pharmaceuticals is a bit redundant here in the "treatment zone", in light of the fact that these treatments are already "proven antivirals"???

Personally, I tend to look at scientific fact, rather than theory. Oh well that's good!

Although, outside the realm of science, it is also a fact that there will never be a clinical study on any treatment outside the pharmaceutical arena. Oh really?

And, yes, I notice you spend alot of time on these websites discouraging conversation on any type of treatment outside the pharmaceutical arena. What!? I don't discourage discussion about ways to treat outbreaks. It seems that I am not entitled to share my own personal experiences with herpes? When I do share what I know to be true for me people get offended if it's not in line with what they believe. That's not my problem.

But, wouldn't it be fair to say that discussion on pharmaceuticals is a bit redundant here in the "treatment zone", in light of the fact that these treatments are already "proven antivirals"??? The only proven herpes antivirals that I know of are Valtrex, Acyclovir, and Famvir.

Take Care,

Angela :D

Answer:
Just because they are not proven to you does not mean that they do not work. You are very narrow minded.
