In Love Need Help.
Question: Has anyone heard of an infected person having an accident and spreading the virus through blood to an uninfected person? Such as blood splattering to the eyes, mouth or an open wound? I was told yes by an doc, but no by a nurse of 35 years, the CDC and another herpes website. Answer: Interesting question. I have no idea. Answer: Don't know of it ever happening. But you cannot donate blood if you have ever had herpes so that does make a little sense. Answer: DISREGARD LAST STATEMENT AS IT IS FALSE! There are many myths or untruths about how herpes is spread. You CANNOT catch herpes: ***from blood transfusions - having herpes doesn't mean you can't donate blood ***from swimming pools and bath water ***from a toilet seat or by shaking hands HOWEVER Sharing intimat articles like towels and razors that have just been used in an area active with a herpes outbreak is not recommended. Although it has not been proven, there is through to be a small rish of spreading herpes this way. This information comes directly from the GLAXXO WELCOME "taking control of genital herpes" Part 2.
