having type 1 and type 2?
Question: does anyone have an experiences that can shed some light on this question: if you have one type of the herpes virus (hsv1 or hsv2) and you get the other type as well, can it increase the frequency and severity of outbreaks? having one type makes your body more able to fend off the other, but it happens sometimes. if someone could enlighten me it would be great because my outbreaks are very mild and few and far between, and i dont want to make it any worse for me or anyone else. Answer: Did you have type 1(cold sores, assuming you had type 1 there which is typical) and then ge type 2 on the gentiles?(once again,it's typical place)? If so...yes...chances are it may be more mild and most likly remain that way. Your body had previously built up antibodies to the type 1 which helps when type 2 came along. Consider yourself lucky!!!
