Question:
I contracted genital herpes from my boyfriend through oral sex in early April and took valtrex for a while to supress the outbreaks. My mother started researching and came across ozone therapy. She purchased an ozone generator and I have been doing the theapy via vaginal insufflation everyday for the past three months. She is in contact with a doctor who is guiding us and he says that the virus should be completely wiped out in three months. I am doing the treatment for four months just to be sure, but I was wondering if anyone else out there is doing this treatment? I also wonder how I am supposed to know if I am actually cured. Apparently blood tests only currently test for herpes antibodies. I am trying to have hope, but it is hard. Anyone had success with this treatment?

I've done alot of reading,but I'm pretty sure that ozone therepy cannot be called a "cure"...perhaps a better form of suppressing the virus?Just curious...what does an ozone therapy generator cost? Is the treatment painfull in any way? How long each day are the treatments? Good Luck!!

i truthfully do not know how much it cost. but no, the treatments are not painful. i simply fill a syringe with the ozone that is generated and push it through the tube and let it absorb into my vaginal tissues. sometimes the presure can build up a bit, but there is no pain. i do about six syringes a night, which takes roughly an hour. i usually watch a movie, read, or do some homework while i'm doing this. i'm hoping for the best :)

Hi zeppelin: I was just curious how many outbreaks have you had since April. I think I read somewhere that if you get HSV2 orally your rate of recurrence is very low. Potentially you might not get any other outbreaks.
