BHT
Question: I have heard BHT can be an effective preventive treatment. BHT is actually sold as a food preservative but the reason it is effective against herpes is that herpes is a lipid-coated coated virus, and somehow this BHT gets through the fat coating and the virus dies without its "fat coating". (Some say it may be effective on HIV virus too, which is also a fat encapsulated virus.) And cheap. I just bought 100 capsules of 250mg each, for under $8 (from www.vrp.com). Supposed to take two caps a day. I will let you know my experiences. Does anyone else have experience with BHT? I am considering to buy the book Wipe Out Herpes with BHT by Mann & Fowkes. The following webpage talks about BHT: http://www.delano.com/Articles/BHT-antiviral.html Answer: Hello s2bh, I am very interested in finding out your results using BHT. I truly would like to believe that there is an alternative to treating this blasted thing! Thanks for sharing C. Sure C., I can do that. I am trying to get more info all the time and what's frustrating is, apparently a handful of people have had very good results with using BHT, but no company is going to pay millions of dollars to study it because it is already cheap and readily available. Meaning, they can't make money off it so why prove to us it works. Now Valtrex... that stuff is like $5 a pill. That's why you see all those expensive ads for it. And look, some people take it, and then start having breakouts when they stop the drug. Wow! What a financial boon to the company, huh!? Get you addicted to their product. It's better than getting people addicted to tobacco because at least YOUR customers will stay alive to keep spending their money! *sigh* Sorry I went on the soapbox there. s2bh Answer: Any word on how it's been working? Answer: I started taking the BHT right along with the acyclovir during my last OB. There was some verbage on the insert about not taking BHT with alcohol as it may increase the effect of the alcohol. It also says the same thing about any blood thinners you may be taking. So I wonder if my initial reaction was due to it being taken with the acyclovir. I had kind of a bloaty aching feeling that seemed to mimic prodrome in my pelvis. Or it could have just been the acyclovir. I have been taking the BHT by itself since then and no apparent symptoms. I have not received the info yet from CERI http://www.ceri.com/books.htm which talks about taking BHT and what to combine it with for maximum effectiveness. I will keep you up on it. :) s2bh Answer: http://www.smartbodyz.com/herpes-bht-3.htm some more info i found on it. i am really interested in this method. please keep us updated. thanks Copyright © 2007 - 2008 www.thanktoday.com
