Question:
www.oratests.com/bay57.htm is selling what appears to be a patented herpes cure ? or at least it suppressed all future outbreaks in the tests done ? developed over 5 years ago by Bayer, but never brought to market.

I first found the product on the wikipedia site here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Herpes_simplex_type_II and then in researching it, found that it was developed by Bayer, and that is seems effective, but that Bayer downsized and isn't developing it's existing portfolio of new drugs and the other pharma companies don't want to spend the money to bring to market something that would compete with the Valacyclovir group of chemicals.

Has anyone tried this? I've found some other articles online about it, and the research so far looks promising, but not much has happened with it for a while.
