please please help!!!!!!!....rebound from acyclovir....
Question: Sorry i just have to post this again....thanks for any info... Hey Everyone, I was just diagnosed with HSV 2. I am terrified and just heartbroken....i had a horrible outbreak and tried to clear it up without any meds but it just seemed like it wanted to get worse so I have been taken acyclovir. I was told to do it for 5 days, twice a day 800 mg. I read online that rebounds can occur if you stop taking acyclovir so I am terrified that I will get another outbreak again....I also have an anal fissure which the bastards have congregated over as well...it's an awful mess and I just want it to stop...but I've been on acyclovir for almost 10 days now because I'm afraid to stop...I am so ashamed that I just can't tell my naturopath about it....I don't know what to do... any advice about this...should i take half dosage for awhile or just stop cold???? thank sso much Answer: The first outbreak is always the worst they say.... my situation got much worse after the buggers took hold a few months later. I'm no doctor, but I probably wouldnt recommend stopping the meds cold. The more you hit it with the meds at first, you may be able to control it from getting in you more and making it get worse. There are plenty of alternatives to try, most are discussed in this forum. Some things work for some people better than others so you might have to experiment to find what works for you. Another thought would be to mention it to your naturalist. I know it would be difficult/embarrasing to mention to him/her but he/she may have some good advice on remedies to try to help you. You could always pitch the third party friend idea to you naturalist to feel him/her out to she what kind of knowledge the person may have on the subject. Answer: thanks so much for replying. i think i will talk to my naturopath after I do the third party thing. I did stop the meds cold but have been taking lysiene supplements (zinc and vitamin b) since and it seems to be okay so far. thanks agan..... Best Copyright © 2007 - 2008 www.thanktoday.com
