I am under my parents' insurance and am not sure if I can buy suppression medication without the name of the drug appearing on the bill?

Can someone with insurance tell me what information exactly comes in when you use insurance to buy these medications?

I really don't want them to know.

Guess it depends on your insurance. I have Blue Cross/ Blue Shield. I use my insurance card to make co-pays for medications at the pharmacy. It's all very discreet. I never get any kind of bill or invoice in the mail from my health insurance, unless something isn't covered so I'm pretty sure your secret is safe. Just call the health insurance company and make sure Valtrex is covered. Then, just make sure the pharmacy has all your health insurance info set up in their computer system so they don't have to call anyone with questions.
