You both need to go get tested. If she is having an outbreak go now to the doctor to get a culture down on the blisters. Also both of you need to get blood tests to test for both HSV 1 and 2. Usually 1 is oral and 2 is genital but type 1 can be spread to the genitals through oral sex and type 2 can also (although rare) be spread to the mouth. Once you two know what your have, the internet is friend to research. Your girlfriend may want to get on suppressive therapy(a daily pill to suppress outbreaks). If she has type 1 genital outbreaks are usually fewer and less severe. I've offered tons of advice on other posts...go through the newly diagnosed section & look for my replies to people posts. This forum is awesome. Read what is already here and you'll learn a lot. There are foods to avoid & supplements to take (like lysine). Point is get tested & then educated and you two will be in much better shape! Hope this helps. Answer: i have articles from all over the web lookign for anything i can on this topic i had no idea how utterly uninformed i was and still am i have some questions on treatments from what i am gathering/guessing if you get to the virus and treat it early you can help stop it from becoming a problem? choraphor looks to be good but does anyone have any advice on this? i really need to know EDIT thanks for the reply ((i put this up kinda at the same time)) we will both defiantly have to get tested and i will defiantly lookinto the forum more since all i have now are articles and reports on the subject thanks again Copyright © 2007 - 2008 www.thanktoday.com
