Is Imulux a permanent cure for herpes?
Question: While trying to educate myself on HSV-1, I came across this recent news article. The article is about a challenge from Institute of Progressive Medicine to the scientific community. The IPM has offered a $1,000,000.00 reward to anyone who can prove Imulux does not permanently "heal" (cure?) herpes of either type. Their faq states, "Since the test is for antibodies you will test positive even though you are not contagious." If you go to their website, they claim their product "kills all genital/oral herpes strains." The treatment is a one time cost of $235.78, and they even offer a money back guarantee. I'm rather new to studying the herpes virus, so I thought I'd post this and read what other people thought. Is Imulux a cure or con? They can offer a billion dollars to anybody who can prove their product does NOT cure HSV simply because it is not possible to prove ANY negative. Answer: I understand the questioning attitude of tohealth with regards to the Imulux protocol for suppression of herpes simplex virus (HSV) skin lesions. I have an interest in the protocol since it lends support to research defining an alternative cellular energy (ACE) pathway that provides an auxiliary (non-immunological) defense mechanism against infectious diseases. The ACE pathway is particularly important in the defense against viruses that are not effectively recognized by the cellular immune system (stealth-adapted viruses). Dr. Stoneburner initiated the challenge to the research community to prove him wrong. This was in response to the disinterest being shown by medical professionals and regulatory agencies to the published report of expedited healing of HSV lesions using the protocol. The alternatives include i) negotiating with entrepreneurs willing to invest money to be in a position of forever gauging HSV infected patients; ii) proceeding with the slow process of dealing with FDA regulators who have finally approved a limited clinical study using the protocol. There are already products on the market that do this, and moreover, they have been subjected to more scientific scrutiny and clinical trials than a single product you advertise. More still, their manufacturers don?t attach a disclaimer even remotely akin to yours, they are regulated by federal agencies and they have spent a few billion more dollars in coming to market than your firm has. The issue is what your product does by virtue of clinical trials and research comparable to that of a regulated publicly traded pharmaceutical firm with something akin to an independent board of directors and a public exchange rating out in the sunshine and a laboratory facility with an address that inspectors and customers can identify, that is superior---in efficacy and cost---to what current, and yes, FDA approved products can do.
