Question:
I've had genital herpes since May 2005 and since then I have had at least one to two outbreaks per month. I have tried Valtrex 1000mg for a few months, but still had outbreaks. I stopped talking valtrex because it's too expensive for me to stay on it all the time and not have great results.

In about October 06, I decided after reading, to supplement with L-lysine. At first I didn't notice much difference and I still had a couple outbreaks during the month of November. So far I've not had an outbreak in over a month which is the longest I've gone without one. I'm very pleased with this and will continue this regimen.

I'm currently taking L-lysine 1000mg, once daily.

You can find it almost anywhere now...most drugstores carry it over in the vitamin/supplements area. If not, a natural health store will carry it for sure! :D

Just wanted to say thanks..I have been taking llysine for about a month and its seems to be helping my ob..I havent had bad one in about 4weeks. So if you havent tried them yet, give it a shot..it is way cheaper than the meds.;)
