hi
have been on valtrex now for almost 3 months for suppresion tx of 500mg every day..
I am feeling more and more blue, out of sorts, not myself, sleep is more broken up and even sometimes emotionally labile...cry easily.
have lost wt and don't feel like myself...
ANYONE EVER HAVE ANY OF THIS...???
I AM WONDERING IF I AM STARTING TO GO CRAZY AND the only thing diff. in my life is daily valtrex.

Seems like your mind is controling you health. Don't let it. I used to feel that way. If I though I was sick then the next day I was really sick. If you don't have symptoms can go on Valtrex less often.

valtrex made me physically sick.....horrible nausea......sometimes would vomit from it.....too harsh on my body and stomach to take. Gave me a chalky horrible taste in my mouth and i felt like i was on drugs (street drugs) while taking it.....felt out of my body, head felt weird.....I personally hate it and think it is worse than the actual symptoms of my outbreaks (which are bad ) and the medicine never helped my outbreaks at all. I also feel that the long term effects on the body are unknown and unsafe. I prefer to try alternatives that do not support the greedy pharmaceutical companies. I have not used it for over a year now and still have outbreaks but without the Valtrex do not feel so horribly sick. It may work for some but didnt for me. It may not be just your emotional state that is making you sick.....though that is definitely a factor. Hope you feel a little better soon. You can always go off it for a while to see if you feel better and if not, go back on it if you choose to.
