gave 2 partner after 7+ years ... can he give it back 2 me?
Question: Hi all, I'm new here. 40 yr old female have had genital H for over 15 yrs. seldom have a obvious ob. this relationship for over 10 yrs - now married for 7 years. we almost never used condoms but avoided contact if ob was suspected. know it can be transmitted when no obvious ob but we were willing to take the chance. Long story short; he had a "rash" on and off for a few years. I never thought it could be the male version of H since I only knew sores from my own experiences. his recent ob of "rash" got bad enough he finally saw a Dr. It was diagnosed as herpes. Our biggest concern now is that I am pregnant (I think thats why he had a noticable ob finally - cuz he's stressed as a 1st time dad  ).. Does anyone know - since I already have H - and am the one who passed it to him - can he reinfect me? Head is spinning for so many reasons... Thanks. Sandi Answer: Yes. he can. And new uninfected areas can also be infected too. For the safety of your child, please abstain from sex during outbreaks for either one of you and practise safe sex (with condom) between outbreaks. Also, you may want to advice your husband to go on suppressive treatment during the course of your pregnancy as an added safety measure. However, there have been observations and clinical tests that shows that newer and more resilient strands of this virus may arise due to suppressive drugs. So please discuss this with your doc. If you experience an outbreak during childbirth, your doc may advise you to go for a Caesarean Section. This is to prevent your child from infection when he/she passes through the vaginal... infection may result in blindness or mental retardation... so please consider Caesarean Section even if you don't have an outbreak during delivery.... why take the risk?? Hope the info helps Answer: Let me see if I understand this correctly: If both you and your partner have herpes (one gave it to the other) and you continue to have unprotected sex, you can reinfect one another? I've been searching for info on this particular question and have not found anything yet. Could you point me in the right direction please? Are there any websites that explain this? Even better, are there any research results that provide statistics for this? Thanks so much. Answer: I've done research on this... Goto EVERYTHING HERPIES and than read my article EVERYONE SHOULD READ THIS final... It will answer that exact question... The answer is regretably yes though... Even if you have herpies and you sleep with someone with an outbreak, there is a good chance your gonna get an outbreak... Rich Read the article ; ) Copyright © 2007 - 2008 www.thanktoday.com
