AG-707 Therapeutic vaccine Clinical trial Phase 1
Question: http://www.clinicaltrials.gov/ct/sho...31049?order=19 I haven't seen the AG-707 therapeutic vaccine bu Antigenics posted previously, so here it is. Unlike the AuRX (which I think is a scam), this is actually registered with the FDA as an official clinical trial. They are still recruiting patients... the only reason I haven't run over there yet is because none of the study sites are near me. Phase 1 mostly means that they're testing the safety of the vaccine, but I've read their approach (I'm a biology major) and it seems quite feasible. They took a human heatshock protein (very common protein in all organisms) and genetically engineered it to express antigens found on the herpes virus. So when you have another outbreak, your immune system should be able to suppress the virus better, if not completely. Join! Help scientific progress! Answer: thanks for the link! sounds promising!
