This may have been addressed in another thread, I didn't take the time to read through everything. But I find it odd that there are over the counter meds available to treat cold sore symptoms (i.e. Abreva) but nothing to treat genital herpes symptoms, that I know of anyway. I'm in the middle of my third outbreak and it's very unpleasant. I have no health insurance and cannot afford Valtrex or any other prescription meds.

i use over the counter creams down below (ment for mouth coldsores), clears em up straight away with no side effects (well it aiont dropped off yet)

vitamins can be taken instead of valtrex.
like l-lysine, b12, zinc.

if u google treatments for genital herpes, you will get a list of other things that can replace a rx.
