Help on starting a suppressive therapeutic lifestyle..
Question: I've been doing some research on following a suppressive therapy lifestyle. Would anybody like to add onto my list or suggest...? I've had two out breaks in the span of a month and I'm eagerly anticipating the help of others who have had HSV-2 for good amount of time. I'm really open to all suggestions. And yes, I am aware that we all have different immune systems and we react differently. I would still like to take into consideration to everybody's experience. :D Answer: well what are you doing now? Answer: I take Acyclovir daily.I have never had a outbreak so I dont think I can offer you much help. Answer: well what are you doing now? I tried cutting down the amount stress in my life by going to therapy and soon I'll be getting on anti-anxiety meds (I have post traumatic anxiety disorder and general anxiety). I tried working out a little more, 45 mins. to an hour. And as for food, I just reduced my calorie intake to 1.200. I haven't avoided certain foods just the amount of food i eat. For sex, I have change much. Although I have more anal sex, the vaginal now. And I briefly stopped my consumption of marijuana. Anybody like to help from their experiences? This was the correction...couldn't find the edit button. hehehe Answer: well changing what you eat might help. herpes doesnt really care if your fat or skinny, but if your eating something that triggers herpes its going to matter. there is a list on this site about good foods/ bad good Lysine and Arginine. >> go to the home page> beating herpes- diet and herpes tab on left side. cutting down on the stress is great, working out great, but watch out certain things might cause outbreaks like riding a bike> causes friction in the genitals and might cause a ob. sex wise, unless you get frequent ob after sex theres really no need to change which hole it goes in. cause genital herpes does infact affect your anus to, so if you think that its safer back there- its not. not sure what pot does for herpes, but good for u. maybe encluding some vitamins in your diet, like b12, zinc, l lysine- to boost your immune system to help stop the outbreaks before it happens. are you taking and meds for the herpes? Answer: girl...try lysine COMBINED with vit c w/biflavonoids...the vit c will help the sores heal quicker, and any other skin breaks such as pimples, cuts etc...and the lysine suppresses the herpes and starves them of life so they shrivel...it also can help lessen transmission to other partners apparently... its really worked for my hsv2...i get tingling...but no sores...i'm loving it! also try, lysine and olive leaf or lysine and zinc lysine and colloidal silver (use colloidal only through a breakout ONLY) lysine with any of those combo will help you a ton. its worked better than acicylovir for me! i that crap made me feel sick, and didnt even get rid of 100% sores by the end of my treatment...pshhhhh Answer: I used to smoke ganja on a daily basis, nver really affected how many Obs i had, well i dont think it did. alltho ive sacked it recently as my new GF doesnt smoke it, she hast asked me to stop, but i feel kinda awkard being stoned when im with her. Answer: I started suppressive therapy in February for the first time. I was official diagnosed in January but pretty sure I've had hsv for a long time. At first they made me kinda lightheaded and dizzy had some nausia too. That went away within about a week. I started them in the middle of a major ob that lasted from Jan 15 til March 1st or thereabouts. So in Feb I started with 10 days of 3 pills a day of Acyclovir 400 mg. When the 10 days ended I switched to twice a day. Since then I have not had an ob with blisters etc. I have had 2 episodes that I think were hsv related so I upped my daily to 3 pills instead of 2 for that time period. The first time it just felt like electric shocks in my genital area and went away within 2 days. The second was last week and I got an outrageous head ache and sciatic pain in my lower back it was over in 5 days. I'm still taking 3 pills a day until next Monday. The antivirals reduce my appetite so I've lost a few pounds. I take vitamins daily just picked up a new one tonight - olive leaf - gonna see if it helps too. I take lysine w/b6, vitamin c w/bioflavinoid, Calcium/Magnesium and vitamin d, vitamin e, and probiotics. It probably only effects me but if I quit taking my claritin I get itchier that usual so I take it daily. I tried a colloidal silver cream and it didn't help at all. I also tried a colloidal silver spray - didn't see that it helped. When I researched colloidal silver I found that it can turn you permanently blue grey if you take it orally so unless you want to be a funny color don't take it internally.
