How easy is it to spread? PLEASE HELP!

Question:
I've been plagued with cold sores as long as I can remember. I usually get them in the same spot on my lower lip. I usually have a big inflammation reaction, and sometimes multiple blisters that form into one giant transformer blister. Stress and changes in temperature/altitude can bring them on. So, I came back from a trip that has a different altitude and 24 hrs later I got what looked like a really bad pimple on my skin ABOVE my top lip. So, I kept 'popping' it...more like an 'opening' it up than a 'pop'...but regardless. I kept putting astringent on it and hten put acne medication on it. When I looked in the mirror again it looked more like a blister, but I wasn't sure. I started medicating it with abreva. The next morning it was on my actual lip, with my normal swelling that I get. So...now I'm freaking out...I popped the blister getting the virus on my hands and probably anywhere else...I use these Charmin flushable wipes and I'm thinking it could have gotten on those from my finger and then to my genitals...how easy is this transmission from your experiences? ALSO, on my trip I had oral sex...so this was at least 48 hours before my outbreak on my lip...any idea if you're infectious days before any inclination of an outbreak? PLEASE HELP IM FREAKING!

Answer:
transmition via, yourself is alot harder then via someone else. but if you did wash up with the wipes, or wash your hands, your prob alright..
but oral sex(you giving), especially before the outbreak is very risky, did you even mention to the other person that you had it?

Answer:
I don't think I washed my hands before the Charmin wipes. I think he knows I get cold sores, but I usually only have 2 a year. I was pretty surprised when I realized I was getting one yesterday. I didn't feel any tingles or anything this weekend. i gave oral sex about 48 hours before I felt anything from the cold sore.
